Function centre to the left, café to the right.
Red cars park to the right of the entrance, white cars to the left.
We had a plan to get a coffee and go for a walk around the wetlands. The cakes looked too good, had to return to taste some. I saw people enjoying their meals. Unfortunately the café closes at 4 so we need to return for a lunch some other time.
Friendly, fast service; great cakes, coffee made the way I ordered.
Recommended!
We had to wait about 10 minutes for the waiter to come and take our orders. Then it took about 20 minutes to get the Turkish bread. After 2 mouthfuls, I turned it over and it had mould on it. Disgusting. Waited another 10 minutes and they brought more bread out. We literally still had to pay for it. Finally 50 minutes later our main meals arrived. My Dads meal was ok. He said it was good. Mine was awful. The salmon skin was burnt. It didn’t even have seasoning on it. It was over cooked and dry. The Couscous was dry and unseasoned. Absolutely no taste whatsoever. It needed mash potato or creamed veg instead. 1 small broccoli stem and about 5 baby spinach leaves. Ridiculous as the veg component. The sauce was tasteless, I ended up asking for extra. Which they forgot about so I waited about 5 more minutes to eat my food. It lacked any seasoning and flavour. I was truly disappointed with my meal and I will not be returning to this restaurant. I can cook better Salmon at home in the Thermomix. But annoyed cause I was looking forwards to a nice lunch out with my Dad.
Had an excellent outing experience there. Great food, we had garlic prawns on a yummy rice recipe. Not crowded, relaxed surroundings. Popular wetlands boardwalk adjacent with lovely nature to captivate all. Convenient close carpark. Enjoyed conversation with my son Peter and a nice refreshing gin drink which is my usual now when I go out. Plenty of shade if you decide to eat outside. Staff were funny and added to the charm of the nice service. Dog, children and wheelchair friendly atmosphere.
If you're looking for a function centre for a wedding, the Watershed Cafe will not disappoint.
We had both our ceremony and reception here and it was amazing.
I am blown away at how wonderful the staff, cooks and manager were.
A big thank you to Maurice for making our wedding so perfect, he went above and beyond to make sure everything would go right.
The lovely staff did a great job at setting everything up and were so professional and friendly.
The reception area was just gorgeous.
The entrées and mains were a big portion size and tasted delicious.
All the guests were raving about how beautiful the function place scenery was and how delicious the meals were.
The Watershed staff were so accommodating for dietary requirements and preparing all the food choices. Which was fantastic as we had lots of lactose intolerant and vegan guests at the reception.
We had the best night and are so grateful to everyone that helped make it so wonderful.
Thank you very much!
100% recommend!!
Overall it was a nice experiece. The pork noodle bowl interpretation was pretty good, presentation looked great. The salt and pepper squid was also quite fresh. The coffee was your standard cafe fair, nothing specialty.
On a nice day outside it's nice to look over the water, we wouldn't rush back here but would consider with a larger group if the weather is nice.
I had brunch here with a friend. We booked in the outdoor undercover area but that echoes considerably so we moved to the outdoor open area.
The breakfast menu is reasonably priced given the fancy location. I’d go back. I did think the lunch menu looked very overpriced but it could just be huge servings which is not my thing.
The staff were friendly but coffees took awhile to come out. I could see the waitress speed walking so I think they may need some more serving staff.
The staff was friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere was perfect!!! Everyone loved the place 👌🏼
Wonderful service. Our friendly waitress didn't even need to write down our orders. The meals were fast and the servings were of a generous size. Family friendly cafe. Pleasant ambience with beautiful views of the surrounding wetlands from almost every angle, the only downside being limited access to explore these areas for people using mobility aids or parents with prams etc.
